Bringing together the originally seperate cities of Valencia, Canyon Country, Newhall and Saugus the City of Santa Clarita was formed by incorporation on December 15, 1987.

Perhaps more than anything else, in recent years the Santa Clarita Valley has earned a reputation as being a perfect place in which to raise a family.  From safe streets to highly rated schools, from the natural beauty of the area to neighbors that still know one another's name, a person would be hard pressed in finding a more ideal environment in which to raise children and in which to enjoy fully family life.
